🚗WoolerStart Point

Wooler is the main service town for the Cheviot Hills and an ideal base for those wanting to explore the wildest and most remote part of Northumberland National Park. The Harthope Valley rises directly from the town into the heart of the Cheviots.

A small, practical market town at the foot of the Cheviots, Wooler offers the basic services a walking base needs — accommodation, a few good cafés and pubs, and parking — with the national park hills rising immediately to the south and west.
