🚗PontardaweStart Point

Pontardawe is a former industrial town in the Swansea Valley, sitting at the foot of the Black Mountain — the wildest and least-visited section of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Craig y Llyn and the Beacons Way are both accessible from the town, making it a useful and affordable base for the western Beacons.

A practical valleys town with good transport links to Swansea, Pontardawe makes a useful base for those wanting to explore the less-visited western end of the Brecon Beacons from an affordable and well-connected location.
