Warrenpoint is a compact Victorian resort town on the northern shore of Carlingford Lough, looking across to the Cooley Mountains of County Louth. The Mourne Mountains rise to the north, Rostrevor is just two miles west, and the Newry Canal ends nearby — giving a range of contrasting walking in a small area.

A lively and attractive lough-side town with good pubs and the best views of the Mournes over water, Warrenpoint makes a pleasant and affordable base for the southern Mournes and Carlingford Lough walking.
