Milford Haven occupies one of the finest natural harbours in the world — a deep-water ria that cuts twelve miles inland through south Pembrokeshire. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path threads along the Haven shore, and the Dale Peninsula to the west gives some of the finest and most accessible coastal walking in the county.

A working harbour town with a yacht marina, Milford Haven makes a useful practical base for the southern Pembrokeshire coast, particularly for the Dale Peninsula and the Haven waterway walking which is less busy than the St David’s area.
