Falmouth is a large, lively port town on the mouth of the Fal Estuary — one of the deepest natural harbours in the world — with the South West Coast Path threading through and the beautiful Roseland Peninsula just across the water by ferry. The walking in every direction is outstanding.

A vibrant university and sailing town with excellent restaurants and a year-round buzz, Falmouth makes a superb south Cornwall walking base. The passenger ferry to St Mawes opens up the Roseland Peninsula without a long drive round.
