🚗GlenriddingStart Point

Glenridding sits at the southern end of Ullswater and is, alongside Patterdale, the main starting point for Helvellyn — England’s third highest mountain and the most popular ascent in the Lake District via Striding Edge. The Ullswater Steamers service operates from the village pier, allowing creative linear walks.

A small but well-equipped village with a good range of accommodation, an outdoor shop and the Ullswater Steamers pier, Glenridding is one of the best-organised bases for Helvellyn and the eastern fells.
