🚗LlandoveryStart Point

Llandovery is a small, spirited Welsh market town at the junction of several river valleys at the western edge of the Brecon Beacons. The Black Mountain massif rises to the south, and the remote tarn of Llyn y Fan Fach — associated with the legendary Lady of the Lake — lies within a long day’s walk.

A traditional Welsh market town with good pubs, a cattle market and a strong sense of local identity, Llandovery makes an excellent base for the western Brecon Beacons and the Tywi Valley — far less visited than the eastern end of the national park.
