🚗ConistonStart Point

Coniston sits below the dramatic ridge of the Coniston Fells and the iconic summit of the Old Man of Coniston, offering some of the finest and most varied walking in the southern Lake District. The nearby Tarn Hows is one of the most photographed landscapes in England.

A quieter alternative to Ambleside or Keswick, Coniston gives excellent fell access without the crowds, particularly midweek. The Coniston Launch allows creative combinations of fell walks and lakeshore return.
