Maesteg is a South Wales Valleys town in the Llynfi Valley, surrounded by the open ridge walking that characterises the tops between the valleys. Mynydd y Gaer gives wide views across the Bristol Channel, and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast is accessible to the south via the ridge.
