🚗LochinverStart Point

Lochinver is a working fishing village on the Assynt coast — the starting point for Suilven, perhaps Scotland’s most dramatic and recognisable mountain, and surrounded by a landscape of isolated quartzite peaks rising from ancient Lewisian gneiss moorland that is unlike anything else in Britain.

An outstanding and very remote walking village with excellent fresh fish, a famous pie shop and a handful of good B&Bs, Lochinver is the finest base for Assynt mountain walking — one of the most spectacular landscapes in all of Europe.
