Bakewell is the largest town in the Peak District National Park and one of its finest walking bases, set in the Wye Valley at the heart of the White Peak limestone country. The famous Monsal Trail passes nearby, and Chatsworth Park is just a short walk across the fields.

Bakewell combines excellent accommodation, a wide range of shops and cafés, and superb walking access across the White Peak dales and the Chatsworth Estate — making it the ideal overnight base for a Peak District walking break.
