🚗AberfeldyStart Point

Aberfeldy is a handsome Perthshire town on the River Tay, best known for the Birks of Aberfeldy — a beautiful wooded gorge with waterfalls that inspired Robert Burns — and as the starting point for the ascent of Schiehallion, Perthshire’s most iconic mountain.

A pleasant, well-served town with good accommodation and the Dewar’s distillery, Aberfeldy makes a fine Perthshire walking base with both the Birks and Schiehallion accessible on foot or by a short drive.
