Bovey Tracey is known as the Gateway to the Moor — a handsome small town at the eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park, with Yarner Wood nature reserve, Hound Tor and the popular Becky Falls waterfall all within a few miles. The wooded, gentler eastern fringe of Dartmoor contrasts beautifully with the open moor further west.

A pleasant gateway town with a renowned craft centre (the House of Marbles) and good access to the wooded eastern fringe of Dartmoor, Bovey Tracey makes an excellent base for those wanting gentler moorland walking alongside the wilder open tors further west.
