🚗HarlechStart Point

Harlech is dominated by one of the finest castles in Europe — a World Heritage Site perched on a precipitous rock above the coast, with the Rhinog mountains rising dramatically to the east and Tremadog Bay stretching away to the north. The Rhinogs are among the wildest and least-visited mountains in Wales.

A small but magnificent village with a World Heritage castle and an outstanding mountain backdrop, Harlech is one of the most atmospheric walking bases in Wales, particularly for those wanting to tackle the remote and challenging Rhinog mountains.
