🚗CardiganStart Point

Cardigan is the birthplace of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path — the national trail begins (or ends) at St Dogmaels just across the River Teifi — and sits at the northern end of the Ceredigion Heritage Coast. The walking north from the town along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to Cemaes Head is outstanding.

A friendly, Welsh-speaking market town with a good arts centre and the start of one of Britain’s finest coastal walks on the doorstep, Cardigan makes a rewarding and distinctly un-touristy walking base for the northern Pembrokeshire coast.
