🚗GlastonburyStart Point

Glastonbury is England’s most mythologised small town — home of the Tor, the abbey ruins and a thousand Arthurian legends — and it sits at the junction of two superb walking landscapes: the Somerset Levels stretching flat to the horizon, and the gentle Polden Hills rising to the south.

An endlessly atmospheric small town with excellent independent cafés, crystal shops and surprisingly good accommodation, Glastonbury makes a characterful walking base for the central Somerset Levels and the Mendip and Polden fringes.
