🚗FileyStart Point

Filey is a quietly dignified seaside town where three great national trails converge — the Cleveland Way ends, the Yorkshire Wolds Way begins, and the coast between the two is outstanding. Filey Brigg, a long headland of rock ledges jutting into the North Sea, is the centrepiece.

A calm, slightly old-fashioned resort with good accommodation, Filey is an ideal base for those wanting to walk both the Cleveland Way coastal section and the opening stages of the Yorkshire Wolds Way — two very different landscapes meeting at one small town.
