🚗WhitbyStart Point

Whitby is England’s most atmospheric coastal town — a Gothic fishing port of cliff-top abbey ruins, steep yards and Dracula associations, where the Cleveland Way national trail passes through and the North York Moors rise immediately inland. The coastal walk to Robin Hood’s Bay is one of the finest in England.

A uniquely atmospheric town with excellent fish and chips, good accommodation and a direct rail link from the Esk Valley, Whitby makes one of the best walking bases on the Yorkshire coast.
