🚗TongueStart Point

Tongue is a small crofting village on the Kyle of Tongue in Sutherland — one of the most remote and beautiful landscapes in Britain. Ben Loyal, the Queen of Scottish Mountains, rises directly behind the village, and Ben Hope — Scotland’s most northerly Munro — is within striking distance.

One of the most remotely situated walking bases in Britain, Tongue rewards those willing to make the long journey north with genuinely wild landscape and mountains of extraordinary character. The Ben Loyal Hotel is one of the best walking bases in Sutherland.
