Walks in Gwynedd

Gwynedd is home to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, including Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and Cadair Idris — the two highest mountains in Wales — as well as the Llŷn Peninsula’s coastline and historic castle towns such as Harlech, Caernarfon and Barmouth. The Wales Coast Path runs the length of the county’s shoreline, while inland walkers can choose anything from gentle lakeside strolls around Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) to the classic mountain routes up Snowdon itself.
