🚗OmaghStart Point

Omagh is the county town of Tyrone and the main gateway to the Sperrin Mountains — a vast, rolling upland of heather moorland and gentle summits that forms the largest upland area in Northern Ireland. Gortin Glen Forest Park, just seven miles north, provides excellent waymarked walking and mountain biking.

A large, well-served market town with good accommodation and direct road access to the Sperrins, Omagh is the most practical base for Sperrin mountain walking and the quiet, rewarding Tyrone countryside.
