Forres is one of Scotland’s most attractive small towns — a winner of Britain in Bloom and proud of it — set on the edge of Darnaway Forest with Cluny Hill giving wide views across the Laigh of Moray and the coast just a few miles north. The Moray Coastal Trail passes through, connecting Forres to the remarkable landscapes of Findhorn Bay and Burghead.

A genuinely charming small town with excellent parks, a good local museum and the Moray Coastal Trail on the doorstep, Forres makes a pleasant and underused walking base for the Moray coast and the forest hinterland.
