🚗ForfarStart Point

Forfar is the county town of Angus — a sturdy, no-nonsense market town at the foot of the Angus Glens. The five great glens — Glenisla, Glenshee, Glenesk, Glenesk and Clova — fan out to the north into the Grampian Mountains, offering some of the finest and most accessible mountain walking in eastern Scotland.

A practical market town with good shops and the famous Forfar bridie, Forfar is the best-placed base for exploring the Angus Glens on day walks, with all five glens accessible within 30–45 minutes.
