🚗Grantown-on-SpeyStart Point

Grantown-on-Spey is a perfectly proportioned Georgian planned town on the River Spey, one of the finest examples of eighteenth-century town planning in Scotland. The Speyside Way long-distance path passes through, Anagach Woods give immediate walking from the town square, and the Cromdale Hills rise to the east.

A handsome, well-served town with good hotels and shops, Grantown makes an excellent and often quieter alternative to Aviemore for Speyside and eastern Cairngorm walking.
