🚗SedberghStart Point

Sedbergh is England’s book town — a small, book-lined market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, set at the foot of the Howgill Fells. The Howgills are among the least-visited fells in the north of England, their smooth, rounded grassland ridges rising to over 670 metres in a landscape of extraordinary solitude.

A wonderful small town with a thriving second-hand book trade, good accommodation and the Dales Way on the doorstep, Sedbergh is one of the finest and most characterful walking bases in the north of England.
