🚗SkiptonStart Point

Skipton calls itself the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, and the description is well-earned. The market town sits at the edge of the national park, with the Leeds-Liverpool Canal threading through its centre and Embsay Moor rising to the north. Bolton Abbey and the Strid are just six miles away.

A lively market town with good shops and transport links, Skipton is an ideal starting point for Dales walking as well as offering several good routes of its own along the canal and onto the moor.
