Aberaeron is the prettiest harbour town in Wales — a Regency planned settlement of colour-washed Georgian houses around a small tidal harbour, set on the Ceredigion Heritage Coast where the Wales Coast Path threads north and south through outstanding cliff scenery.
A charming and relatively peaceful small town with good independent cafés and seafood, Aberaeron makes an excellent Ceredigion coast walking base. The Heritage Coast walking is wild and beautiful, and the Aeron Valley inland is quiet and rewarding.
