Discover walking trails across Perth and Kinross — from Ben Lawers, Loch Tay and Schiehallion to Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Loch Leven.
Perth and Kinross sits at the heart of Scotland, with highland glens and lochs in the north and west and the broad valley of the Tay to the south. It is excellent for walkers of all abilities, from woodland strolls to Munro days.
Ben Lawers and Schiehallion. Ben Lawers, at 1,214 metres, rises above Loch Tay and is the highest hill in the southern Highlands, and Schiehallion, at 1,083 metres, is a distinctive cone with a well-made path to the summit.
Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy. Pitlochry has the Pass of Killiecrankie and riverside paths, Dunkeld has woodland walks by the Tay and the Hermitage, and Aberfeldy is known for the Birks of Aberfeldy, a wooded gorge walk with a waterfall.
Blairgowrie, Loch Leven and Perth. The Cateran Trail, a circular route of around 64 miles, starts at Blairgowrie, and Loch Leven has a flat path around its shore. Kinnoull Hill gives views over Perth.
Hill weather changes quickly, so carry waterproofs and a map for the higher routes.
