Grassington is the main village of upper Wharfedale and one of the most popular walking bases in the Yorkshire Dales. Its cobbled market square and cluster of traditional stone buildings are surrounded by some of the finest limestone walking in the national park.
Set in the heart of Wharfedale, Grassington gives immediate access to limestone uplands, ancient woodland and classic Dales valley walking. The National Park Centre here makes it a natural first stop for visitors to this part of the Dales.
