The section of the Cotswold Way from Old Sodbury to Bath is a beautiful and varied stretch of the trail, taking you through rolling countryside, pretty villages, and historic landmarks. Here’s a brief description of what you can expect on this section of the trail:
Starting in Old Sodbury, the trail leads you through farmland and pastures, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. As you follow the Cotswold Way signs, you’ll pass through the charming village of Tormarton, with its pretty cottages and historic church.
From here, the trail takes you through beautiful woodland and open fields, with occasional glimpses of the Cotswold hills in the distance. The section of the trail between Cold Ashton and Bath is particularly scenic, with stunning views across the valley and the opportunity to explore the picturesque village of Lansdown.
The final stretch of this section takes you along the River Avon and into the historic city of Bath, where you can explore the city’s rich history and culture, including the iconic Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the Royal Crescent.
