🚗PitlochryStart Point

Pitlochry is a well-established Victorian resort town in the heart of Perthshire, surrounded by forested hills and sitting at the gateway to the Highland passes. Ben Vrackie rises directly above the town, the Pass of Killiecrankie is just two miles north, and the Rob Roy Way passes through.

A comfortable, well-served town with good hotels, restaurants and a famous theatre, Pitlochry is an excellent Scottish walking base with direct rail access from Edinburgh and Perth. The whisky distillery visits and salmon ladder add to its appeal as a tourist destination.
