A walking route along the valley of the River Tamar through Bere Ferrers, Bere Alston, Gunnislake and Milton Abbot. It crosses two rivers: at Lopwell Dam (by foot) and Calstock (by train).
The river crossing at Lopwell cannot be made within two hours either side of high tide – check tide tables.
The ferry service between Ferry Farm and Calstock no longer operates and the only way to cross the river at this point is by train between Bere Alston and Calstock.
