A Y-shaped route in the south west corner of Devon mostly in pleasant rural landscapes with views to the edge of Dartmoor. From Ivybridge, at the southern end of the Two Moors Way it leads either to Plymouth, some 13 miles passing through the villages of Yealmpton and Brixton, or using a short spur south from Hollacombe Hill to Wembury, that provides a link from Dartmoor to the south coast.
The route is comprehensively waymarked.
The section between Ivybridge and Wembury forms the southern part of the Devon Coast to Coast. The Erme-Plym Trail and the Two Moors Way together are promoted by Devon County Council as the Devon Coast to Coast between Lynmouth and Wembury. See the Two Moors Way page for a map and GPX covering the full Devon Coast to Coast. The mapping on this page only covers the option from Ivybridge to Plymouth, as do the trackfiles below. The variant route to Wembury listed below shows this part of the Y-shaped route.
North from Sequers Bridge, near Ermington, the Erme-Plym Trail includes the former Erme Valley Trail to Ivybridge, that is no longer promoted as a separate route, with this section now part of Two Moors Way/Devon Coast to Coast Walk that uses the Erme-Plym Trail option to Wembury.
