IOG Stour Valley 2/6: Sudbury To Long Melford

Picturesque Long Melford, River Stour and its water meadows. Start at Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Station Road, SUDBURY, CO10 2SU.Along the old railway line to Rodbridge Picnic site (with toilets). Around the back of Long Melford via the River Stour, and onto the high street and past Melford Hall. Around the back of Melford Church and heading East to eventually pick up on another old railway line bed that brings you back to the south end of Long Melford, heading back to Sudbury via the River Stour and its lovely water meadows, option to stop for a drink at the Mill Hotel before walking back to the cars/railway/bus station.Based on a route plan by Andy Palmer for the Ipswich Outdoor Group (www.ipswichoutdoor.org).
