A circuit over moorland, pasture and meadow on paths and stony tracks with some stiles to negotiate. We head south via Matley Moor to ascend Lantern Pike then turning north to the village of Rowarth. Continuing north we climb again to the Cown Edge hoping for a clear day and excellent views. A steep descent to the south returns us to the car parking.
