From the car park the route goes up past the church and onto the derelict farm at Rocher Head before tuning down to the far end of Agden Reservoir. The walk continues on paths round the far end of the reservoir through woods to Windy Bank and after a short climb it descends on a path down to Dale Dike Reservoir. The path continues to the South Eastern bank of the reservoir via some Victorian Weirs and buildings. The route continues by the reservoir for a few hundred yards before turning up into the woods and then onto Sugworth Tower (probable lunch stop). From here it goes up to Moscar before heading back to the start on paths and country lanes via Ughill Moor and Dale Dike.
