The walk is approximately 7 miles in length and begins in the northern part of the Chatsworth Estate. After a brief visit to the Hunting Lodge it continues along Dobb Edge and reaches the Robin Hood Inn. From here there is a brief climb up to Birchen Edge where Nelson’s Tower and “three ships” are situated. Later, before the final descent back to Baslow, the route goes past Wellington’s Monument too. Most of the going is on firm ground and this walk (weather permitting) provides some fine, panoramic views of this part of Derbyshire.
