Starting from Hathersage (Sladen Lodge) the route departs the village heading for Cowclose and North Lees eventually climbing up onto Stanage Edge. The route follows the Sheffield Country Walk footpath along Stanage Edge to the trig point, before descending towards Callow Bank, Callow, and Mitchell Field to return to Hathersage.
