One-way route. You can catch the bus between Etwall and Derby (in normal non covid times). There are a lot of options for this walk. I have plotted one option through Duffield and via Makeney. At Little Eaton the shortest route is just to Moor Lane but I have plotted the route into the centre of Little Eaton because there are a couple of great places to get some food including Barry Fitch butcher (great sausage rolls). There are lots of alternate route options. At the Radbourne Lane estate (before heading to Mackworth) you can go to the top corner of the estate and there is an alternative path to the A52 (Ashbourne Road) – the normal footpath can be VERY muddy during wet weather so the path further north isn’t as bad. The path going north from Mackworth can also be muddy in places but there is an alternative route via Markeaton Park. At Kedleston Road (Kedleston House pub/restaurant) I have suggested going up the small lane to the north and then along the lane to Quarndon. There are various footpath options but the lane is pretty and very quiet. From Quarndon there are a few options to go to Duffield and in Duffield there are places to get a drink or food.
