Park in Lathams Car Park in Potter Heigham. 3 hour free parking. Cafes and a pub in the village. Walk starts in the village itself then heads out along a straight and level grass track. There can be horses/cows on each side but they are separated by water (ditches) and fences. At the end of the track, join the river and The Weavers Way and turn left to walk along side Hickling Broad Nature Reserve. Paths along the side of the water are higher than the water level and largely dry and easy. You may see the Konik ponies on the left (separated from the path by fencing)- they are imported to keep the Broads areas eaten down and under control. The path is clearly marked and ends up in the quiet lanes of the village on the other side of the A149. The last part involves crossing the A149 but there is an island to make this safer. Head back through the village to the car parking.
