Starting from the Junction Inn in West Scholes, the walk is part of the Bradford Ring Walks from a book published in 1982, the walk progresses from Queensbury northward to Thornton, then to Shay gate and the beauty spot at Chellow Dean before turning south again to take you back to the start.The terrain is partly road, fields and tracks. There are three short sharp embankments to navigate, a number of still streams and undulations.If wet your walking poles may be advantageous. A scenic route never far from civilisation. Four of the Brontes were born in Thornton.
