From Shepley, to Thurstonland along the Kirklees Way and the Holme Valley Circular via Fulstone and New Biggin. Following the crest of the Holme Valley escarpment towards Farnley Tyas, returning south east via Green Side Road, Browns Knoll Road, Ing Head Lane and the steep sided dip slope streams, to return to Shepley.Most of the route crosses mixed farming land where tracks and paths are likely to be muddy, there are some gates and styles to cross whilst ascents are short, but sometimes steep.
