Start from Hartsop village and climb Hartsop Dodd before heading over to Stoney Cove Pike. Descend towards Kirkstone Inn and ascend Red Screes. Skirt Kirkstone Crag and head down to Middle Dodd. Continue descent in rough direction towards stone wall. Pick up lower valley path via Brotherswater Inn to return to village.
